Much more that the God of Spring Break

Dionyses is best known in our mythologies class as the god of spring break... he is the god of wine, of chaos, of letting loose, of debauchery. However, the role of dionyses stretches way beyond silly college parties and excuses to act crazy. Dionyses represents the god of Earth, or down, or feeling. He is anti-thinking, evident if you have ever had one too many glasses of wine, but he is also the god of nature. He is that of the earth and of the basic human intincts and feelings. So the next time you partake in one too many BEvERages, think about experiencing Dionyses through your natural feelings and the basis of the earth, not just through craziness.
